A close game at Bedford with Mens Own taking the lead with a try by Ryan Duffy, converted by Matt Burton after only ten minutes.With Lee McDonald, Barry Hamilton and Adam Baker all producing fine performances, the visitors were camped in the Swifts half for long periods but the break came with the score at 7-0. The home side gradually came into the game, and pressure eventually led to them scoring a try in the corner. A missed penalty fron in front of the posts seemed to knock the stuffing out of Mens Own, and despite a Swifts player being sin-binned, they scored a penalty with ten minutes to go which gave them the lead and the match. This was another game that Mens Own should have won and did not. With only four league games left, they will have to convert more chances if promotion is to be attained.
